  • Concentrated active ingredients (full-spectrum CBD+terpenes+plant compounds) for maximum absorption and superior hydration.
  • Formulated by our board-certified toxicologist and pharmacologist.

Unlike most lotions whose primary ingredient is water, our hydrating lotion is based in aloe vera, which contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for superior skin health. We further include full-spectrum CBD at 200mg/50mL, sweet almond oil, and jojoba oil with therapeutic-grade lemongrass essential oil for a light, citrus scent. Fast-absorbing, and perfect for soothing dry, itchy skin.

Organic, full-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD, combined with terpenes and plant extracts in an aloe-base, creating an intensely hydrating topical lotion (CBD may help relieve inflammation and pain caused by dermatitis). Research shows CBD is more effective when all of the cannabinoids (to include THC), and all of the terpenes are present, which is why we use full-spectrum oil in nearly all of our products. We include additional terpenes to further enhance the benefits of CBD, but also to provide their own therapeutic effects.

Our Hydrating Lotion combines full-spectrum CBD, which may have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and analgesic properties) at 200mg per 50mL bottle. We further include the therapeutic benefits of our terpene blend, based in aloe with sweet almond and jojoba oil for an exceedingly creamy and hydrating product. Our proprietary blend of terpenes provides their own healing benefits; some of which are known skin enhancers and skin penetrants, allowing for maximum absorption and efficacy of our active ingredients. Finally, we include therapeutic-grade lemongrass essential oil, providing a subtle citrus scent.

Research indicates that inflammation in the body and anxiety can manifest through multiple ailments and symptoms. Although CBD is all-natural and potentially an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic, and anti-anxiety, it is only one of the many plant-based, active ingredients that we include in our products (see full ingredients list for more information). We aren’t just creating CBD products. Instead, our staff toxicologist and pharmacologist is formulating the most effective, 100% plant-based remedies available on the market today.

I have been dealing with dry skin and rosacea for many years. I was required to use prescription steroid ointments to contain the issue. I have found this product really helps mitigate rosacea allowing me to only use the prescription a few times a month instead of daily. It’s great to find a natural product that helps keep your skin feeling healthy and smooth!

FAQ’s About Rx Remedies Inc

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 100+ cannabinoids naturally produced by both the hemp and marijuana plant. CBD is highly therapeutic, non-addictive, and non-intoxicating. Cannabinoids act on receptors found throughout the body, allowing for its therapeutic benefits.

CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning you cannot get stoned or high from using it. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid found i cannabis that makes the user feel “stoned”. Our products have no more than the legal limit of THC (0.3%), which is not enough to make the user feel any sort of intoxication. Most marijuana strains have at least 15% THC, so comparatively, ours has 45x less THC than found in marijuana.

There are two different types of cannabinoids. There are endocannabinoids, which are naturally occurring in the human body. And there are phytocannabinoids, which are produced by the hemp and marijuana plant. CBD, THC, CBN, CBG are all examples of phytocannabinoids (often referred to as simply cannabinoids). Cannabinoids are molecules that bind to and activate different receptors in cells.

Our CBD and other minor cannabinoids are all grown in the United States on independent American farms in NC, VA, and southern CA, and then extracted in NC following cGMP guidelines. Additionally, our extracted cannabinoids are:

  • GMP certified
  • Kosher
  • Vegan
  • Gluten-free
  • Non-GMO
  • Sustainably-made

Our supplier of cannabinoid extracts sends samples to third party labs to test for pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals. Once the extracts arrive at our facility in Baltimore, MD, we test them again, using a third party facility. Our testing includes pesticides, toxins, heavy metals, as well as the terpene profile, and THC/CBD potency. Once the extracts are cleared for use, we formulate our various products, and then test one final time to ensure the advertised concentration.

Our cannabinoid extractions are made using the cryo-ethanol method due to its efficiency, safety, and purity. Our provider also recycles and reuses over 90% of their ethanol to ensure sustainability. The extracted oil is further winterized (i.e. lipids, fats, and waxes are removed), as those components can decrease the purity of the extraction.

Full-spectrum oil is the closest to whole plant medicine. It includes all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids naturally found in the hemp plant. Broad-spectrum oil is similar to full-spectrum oil, except that is does not include the cannabinoid, THC. Isolate is the isolated molecule of CBD. Isolate is not an oil, but a fine, white powder, comprised of 99% CBD, 0% THC.
The minuscule glands (or trichomes) of the hemp plant that excrete cannabinoids also produce terpenes, which are what give hemp and marijuana their distinct aromas. They are not exclusive to cannabis plants, and can be found throughout nature. An example of a terpene would be linalool, which is predominantly found in lavender, and it is what gives it its floral scent.

Terpenes are aromatic molecules, excreted from the minuscule glands of the hemp and marijuana plant. However, terpenes are not exclusive to the cannabis plant. They are responsible for both the scent and therapeutic benefits found in essential oils (ex: the terpene linalool is what gives lavender its floral scent and calming effects). In addition to providing cannabis and other plants with their pungent scent, terpenes are used to attract pollinators, and to repel pests and herbivores. They have also been used in beauty and pharmaceutical products for centuries. Roughly 200 different terpenes have been found in cannabis, however only a few are worth mentioning, as only concentrations above 0.05% are considered of pharmaceutical interest.

Our hemp-derived cannabinoids are grown using organic practices, however not all products that we formulate are vegan-friendly. Namely, our dog treats are beef-based and our topicals include beeswax. However, our tinctures, tablets, gummies, and roll-ons are all vegan-friendly.

The entourage effect is the relationship that naturally exists between cannabinoids and terpenes. It means that no one terpene or cannabinoid is as therapeutic as the sum of their parts. In other words, CBD on its own (as in isolate) is not as therapeutically effective as when combined with other cannabinoids (like THC) and terpenes. It is why we prefer full-spectrum oil for our products over an isolate.
The Endocannabinoid System is the collection of receptors that receive cannabinoids produced by both our body and by plants. The ECS receptors are responsible for biological and physiological processes such as appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory.
Everyone responds to CBD differently, so we can only offer a suggested starting dose as you establish your perfect dose. CBD is non-toxic, but does cause drowsiness if taken in large doses. Visit our page on “Establishing Your Dosage” for more details on suggested dosing.

Yes, as of December 2018, hemp-derived CBD is protected under the Farm Bill Act of 2018. For more information on CBD legality, you can visit our page by clicking here.
